This notice explains the current Kin launch preview and phone-number waitlist. It does not describe a live WhatsApp assistant.

Who is responsible

Kin GmbH. Contact details will be added before public signup opens.

What we collect

Once public signup opens, the hosted waitlist will store your normalized phone number, signup time and the version of the launch-update consent you gave. It will not verify ownership of the number or send a confirmation message. An on-screen confirmation will only mean your signup was saved.

Why we use your number

The intended purpose is to send the Kin launch update you requested. Consent is the proposed legal basis under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. The delivery provider and consent-verification process must be finalized before messages are sent. Signing up does not authorize unrelated marketing.

Storage and retention

The hosted waitlist is configured to keep signup records private from visitors. Retention duration, deletion procedures, production access controls and operator contact details are not yet finalized. Public collection remains disabled, and no public retention commitment is made in this draft.

Sharing and connected services

The current signup does not transmit your number to WhatsApp, an SMS provider, Google or an AI model provider. The preview does not connect your Gmail or calendar. Any future provider, processing location and international-transfer safeguards will be disclosed before activation.

WhatsApp community

Joining a future Kin community or channel is optional and separate from the waitlist. Following its invite link takes you to WhatsApp, where WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy rules apply. Your phone signup does not automatically add you to a community.

Cookies and analytics

The current preview has no advertising cookies, analytics scripts or browser storage for signup numbers. The background video is served with the site.

Children and family information

The launch signup is designed for adults. Please do not submit children’s phone numbers or school, health or other family records through this form. Handling children’s information in a future assistant requires a separate, detailed policy.

Your choices and rights

You may withdraw consent without affecting the lawfulness of earlier consent-based processing. Depending on the applicable conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability, object to processing, and complain to a supervisory authority. The operator contact and public withdrawal process must be completed before collection opens.

Changes

This notice will be revised when Kin’s operator, providers and live features are confirmed. Changes will not silently expand the scope of existing launch-update consent.
